In the central part, the State Emblem of the Russian Empire is depicted—a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield with St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head to the right). Around the shield—the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left—an orb. Around the eagle, along the rim, a circular, outward-facing text: МОНЕТА РУБЛЬ 1806• (COIN RUBLE 1806). The rim is decorated with denticles.
