    In the central part, against a wall, a basilisk is depicted; in front of it, on the floor, lies Harry on the left, and the Sorting Hat on the right, from which the boy is pulling the sword. On the wall to the right is the English text "HARRY POTTER", below on the floor are the Latin letters "PM". Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: at the top "HARRY POTTER", at the bottom in two lines "1 CROWN".

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley - "IRB". Around the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name "ELIZABETH II", on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency "ISLE OF MAN" and the year of issue "2002". At the beginning of each inscription is the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man – a triskelion. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
