In the central part – the national coat of arms: an oval shield, with an elephant tusk to its left and a sorghum stalk to its right. On the shield, three interlocking gears are depicted at the top, waves below them, and the head of a domestic bull beneath. On the motto ribbon below the shield, the inscription 'PULA', meaning 'rain'.
