Along the upper rim of the coin, an inscription in Portuguese: 'Ano do Intercâmbio Japão-Brasíl/Centenário da Imigracão' (Year of Japan-Brazil Exchange/Centennial of Immigration). The rim of the coin features decorative dot elements.
