    The central part of the reverse features a relief image of an oil palm, the national symbol of Congo, and the inscription 50 centimes in French: «50 CEN». Below is the year of issue: «1924». Along the lower edge in an arc is the name of the country Belgian Congo in Dutch: «BELGISCH CONGO». The edge of the coin is decorated with denticulated elements.

    The central part of the coin features the left-facing profile of Albert I, King of the Belgians. Below the neck truncation are the artist's initials, Jules Lagae: "JUL. LAGAE I". To the left and right along the rim is an inscription in French: «ALBERT ROI DES BELGES», which translates as: "ALBERT KING OF THE BELGIANS". The edge of the coin is decorated with relief denticulated elements.
