In the central part, an inscription in Hungarian in two lines: 'HÁROM KRAJCCZÁR' - three kreuzers, topped with a rosette and the year of issue: 1849. Below it are two crossed tree branches. Near the bottom edge is the mintmark 'K.B.' for the Kremnica Mint. The edge of the coin features a toothed relief pattern.
Obverse
In the central part, the coat of arms of Hungary. To the left and right of it is the abbreviation '3K.', which stands for 3 kreuzers in Hungarian. Along the left, bottom, and right edge is text in Hungarian: 'MAGYAR KIRÁLYI VÁLTÓ PÉNZ' - money of the Hungarian Royal Exchange. The edge of the coin has relief elements in the form of teeth.
