    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a crab in water. Along the upper edge is its name in Ukrainian: «ПРIСНОВОДНИЙ КРАБ», below along the rim in Latin: «POTAMON TAURICUM», which translates as: 'Freshwater (Taurian) Crab'.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is the country name in Ukrainian: «УКРАЇНА». Above it is the Coat of Arms of Ukraine. Below it, a two-line semicircular inscription: «2 ГРИВНI» - 2 (two) hryvnias. Below the inscription is the year of mintage, 2000. In the lower part along the edge of the coin is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint. The coin's rim features a decorative wreath element incorporating various representatives of flora and fauna.
