In the central part, the coat of arms of Angola: crossed machete and hoe, above them a five-pointed star with rays, to the left branches of corn, coffee, cotton, to the right half of a cogwheel; below the coat of arms an open book, at the base the motto with the name of the state in Portuguese 'República de Angola'. Around the rim along the edge inscriptions in Portuguese: at the top - '11 DE NOVEMBRO DE 1975', at the bottom - '∙RP DE ANGOLA∙', framed by dots.
