The central part of the reverse features a relief image of a seated Lady Justice (Femida), holding scales in her left hand and a cornucopia in her right. To her right is a column symbolizing the constitution, with an inscription in Spanish in 5 lines: '30 DE JUNIO DE 1871' - June 30, 1871. Below it, the inscription in Spanish: 'DOS REALES' - two reales. Along the upper edge of the coin from left to right is the country name in Spanish: 'REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA' - Republic of Guatemala. The rim of the coin features a toothed (reeded) relief.
Obverse
