The center is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads wearing crowns, with a larger third crown above and between the heads. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'M', under the left the letter 'D'. The mintmark of the Kadash Mint. Around the eagle the text: МАНЕТА ДОБРАѦ ЦЕНА РУБЛЬ ҂АѰЕ (1705)
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the left-facing profile of Peter I. Around the edge, encircling the emperor's profile, is a circular inscription: ЦРЬ • ПЕТРЬ • АЛЕѯIЕВИЧЪ • ВСЕѣ • РОСИI • САМОДЕРЖЕЦЬ • The rim resembles a braided rope. The rim is executed as a twisted cable (denticles at an angle to the ground).
