    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a frilled-neck lizard with its hood extended. On the skin fold to the left of its head is the numeral "2". Below the animal's body are the letters "SD", denoting the designer's initials: Stuart Devlin.

    Along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left, the name of Elizabeth II - "ELIZABETH II", on the right - the year of minting and the country name Australia: "AUSTRALIA 1990". In the central part is a right-facing profile of Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom.
