    In the central part is a three-masted sailing ship facing left. To its right is the monogram 'HP' - the engraver's mark of Thomas Humphrey Paget. Around the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top 'HALF PENNY', and at the bottom the mint year 1937, framed by curved lines and decorative elements in the form of denticles.

    In the central part is a left-facing profile portrait of King George VI. Below the neck truncation is the monogram 'HP' - the engraver's mark of Thomas Humphrey Paget. Around the edge of the coin is the inscription: 'GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP.', which translates from English as 'George VI, by the Grace of God, Defender of the Faith, King of all the Britains and Emperor of India', and decorative elements in the form of denticles.
