    The Latin legend reads "EDWARDVS VIII REX ET IND: IMP:" (Edward VIII, King and Emperor of India) along the left and right edges. The Imperial State Crown is at the top. Around the central hole is the denomination: "ONE TENTH OF A PENNY" in English (left, top, right) and "عشر ثني" in Arabic (below). Below the hole are the mintmark letters "KN" for Kings Norton. The edge is decorated with raised beads.
