    In the central part, a sea turtle is depicted facing right against a background of bubbles. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: on the left in a crescent-shaped area 'FIJI TAKU', on the right 'FINE SILVER .999 1OZ'. The issue is dedicated to a critically endangered turtle species; in the island nation of Fiji, this marine animal is called Taku.
