Along the upper edge arc, the Arabic inscription reads: "بنك الجزائر", which translates to "BANK OF ALGERIA". In the central part is the number "100" formed by three images. From left to right: a palm tree inside an arch and two circles with a profile image of a horse. Along the lower edge arc is the inscription for dinar in Arabic: "دينارا".
Obverse
The central part features an image of a horse. To the right, along the image, is a date range in Arabic: "ه 2013 لد 1414" - "from 1414 to 2013". The edge of the coin is decorated with a raised ornamental pattern.
