Along the upper edge arc - text in English: "LEBANESE REPUBLIQUE" - "LEBANESE REPUBLIC". In the central part - 1/2 piastre in 2 lines in English: "1/2 PIASTRE". To the left and right of it - 2 bundles of grass, which cross at the bottom and are tied with a bow. Below it - the year of minting: "1936". Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim edges.

In the upper part along the coin's edge arc - inscription in Arabic: "الجمهورية اللبنانية" - "LEBANESE REPUBLIC". In the central part the number 1/2: "١/٢" and half piastre in 2 lines in Arabic: "نصف غرش". To the left and right - 2 wheat ears. Below it - the year of minting: "١٩٣٦" - "1936". Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim edges.
