    In the central part, a three-line inscription in Arabic: "ضرب في تونس" - "MADE IN TUNISIA", below it - the minting year: "۱٢٦٩" - 1269 AH (Islamic calendar) or 1853 AD. Along the left and right arcs of the coin's edge are two olive branches, which cross at the bottom and are tied with a bow.

    Left and right along the rim are two laurel branches, which cross at the bottom and are tied with a bow. In the central part, a three-line inscription in Arabic: "السلطان عبد المجيد خان" - "KHAN-SULTAN ABDUL-MEJID".
