    In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. Inscriptions along the rim: on the left in Latin 'D. G. REG. F. D.' (Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensor / By the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith) and the year of minting '1971', on the right the monarch's name - 'ELIZABETH II'.
