Obverse
Inscriptions along the rim, at the top in Arabic: "سلطان حاجي بلقيه", at the bottom - in Malay: "SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH"; which translates as: "SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH". The central part features a frontal portrait of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah.
