Reverse The central part features a Fijian throwing club – an ula tava tava. It divides the inscription '10 Cents' into two parts: the numeral 10 above and the English text 'CENTS' below. Around the circumference, along the rim, are decorative elements in the form of triangular serrations.
Obverse The center features a right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf – 'RDM'. On the left, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the English name of the monarch 'ELIZABETH II', and on the right, the name of the island nation 'FIJI' and the year of minting '2009'.
