In the central part is the temple of the Mayan god Kukulcan at Chichen Itza. To its right is the underlined name of the state of Yucatan in Spanish: 'Yucatan', below it the year of issue 2007. Below the building is the Mexico City Mint mark. In the upper part, along the rim arc, the text: '$100' - 100 pesos. Along the lower rim arc, the name of the temple in Spanish: 'Castillo de Chichen Itza'.
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of silver-colored metal, is the coat of arms of Mexico. To the left, above, and to the right along the rim is the name of the country, the United Mexican States, in Spanish: 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS'. To the left, below, and to the right along the rim is a wreath of oak and laurel leaves.
