Obverse In the central part, within a smaller circle, is the number 1/4. In the upper part, along the edge arc of the coin, is text in Arabic: 'Bank of Algeria'. In the lower part, along the edge arc of the coin, is an inscription in Arabic: 'dinar'. The inscriptions are separated by two five-pointed stars.
