    In the central part, the state symbol of the Belgian Congo — an image of a five-pointed star. To the left of the upper ray along the rim is the number 10, to the right the inscription 'C.', meaning 'ten centimes'. On either side of the star are three relief elements in the form of five-pointed stars, arranged vertically. Below the lower rays is the year of minting '1919'.

    Around the edge of the coin are decorative raised teeth. Along the arc of the coin's edge on the left is an inscription in Dutch 'BELGISCH - CONGO', on the right in French '★★CONGO BELGE', translating to Belgian Congo, separated at the top and bottom by two relief elements in the form of dots. In the central part, evenly spaced around the hole, are 5 stylized monograms of the monarch, King Albert I.
