    Along the left edge arc, the inscription in Portuguese 'República' — 'Republic'. On the right 'Portugal'. Below, the issue date 1965, flanked by two rosettes. In the central part, the coat of arms of the Portuguese Republic. Against the background of the Cross of the Order of Christ is an armillary sphere, in the center of which is a heraldic shield with seven castles along the edge and five small shields with bezants, arranged in a cross in the center.

    Left and right near the rim are decorative rosettes, executed in the form of a carnation flower. In the upper part, along the edge arc, the text in Portuguese 'Moçambique' — 'Mozambique'.
