In the central part of the reverse, relief drawings of Greco-Roman wrestling athletes; both athletes are bent over, holding each other for a throw. Along the arc of the lower edge is the engraver's mark of Venanzo Crocetti – 'Crocetti'.
Obverse
In the right part, three towers with feathers standing on the peaks of Mount Titano are depicted, which are the main part of the coat of arms of San Marino. In the left part: a three-line inscription 'XXII OLIMPIADE 1980' (XXII Olympic Games 1980), below are the Olympic rings, under them the country name in two lines 'REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO' (REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO). Below the state name: the mark of the Italian State Polygraphic Institute and Mint 'IPZS', the Latin letter 'L.' and the digit '2' (2 lire). In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, is the engraver's mark of Venanzo Crocetti – 'Crocetti'.
