In the central part, a raised outline of the state of Andorra with settlements indicated. Below on the right, along the rim, the country's name in Catalan: «ANDORRA».
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of smaller diameter, the coat of arms of Andorra is depicted. Below it, the numeral «50» and the inscription «ct.», meaning 50 centimes. On the left, top, and right along the rim, an inscription in Catalan: «PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA», which translates as: «Principality of Andorra». In the lower part, along the curve of the coin's edge, the mintage year 2005.
