On either side of the wreath are symbols of the god of trade, Mercury. In the upper part, along the arc of the coin's edge, text in Spanish: 'BOGOTA' - the Bogota mint. Along the arc of the lower edge, the silver fineness indication: 'LEI 0,835'. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
Obverse
On the left, top, and right is an inscription in Spanish: 'ESTADOS UNIDOS DE COLOMBIA', which translates to 'United States of Colombia'. In the central part is a stylized depiction of an opened pomegranate fruit on a branch. On either side of it, crossing at the top, are cornucopias. In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, are nine six-pointed stars. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
