    In the lower part, the cruiser Aurora is depicted, with a demonstration carrying flags to its right. In the upper part is the Winter Palace, which was stormed with the involvement of the cruiser; to the left of the palace is a cameo featuring a right-facing portrait of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. To the left, the horizontal inscription "2|000". Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: at the top "RUSSIAN REVOLUTION 1917", at the bottom "1 CROWN".

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - "RDM"; below the truncation are the Latin letters "PM". Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name "ELIZABETH II", on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency "ISLE OF MAN" and the year of minting "1999". Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
