    At the top, against a background of diverging rays, the digits '2' and '0' with a Phrygian cap between them. Below the image, the letter 'M' with a dot — the mint mark of the Mexico City Mint. At the bottom, the year of issue '1952'. In the central part, the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan. Below the base of the pyramid, the Spanish inscription 'CENTAVOS', meaning 'centavos'.
  • Obverse
    From left to right along the toothed border, the Spanish inscription 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS', which translates to 'United Mexican States'. In the central part, the National Coat of Arms of Mexico: an eagle perched on a cactus devouring a snake. Below it, oak and laurel branches crossed at the base.
