    The central part features a breached dam with an airplane flying above it: an episode from World War II codenamed 'Operation Chastise' - the air strike on dams in Germany on May 17, 1943. To the left above the dam is a two-line inscription in English: 'RAID ON THE DAMS'. In the background of the dam is an image of an award for airmen. Below it is a two-line inscription in English: 'DISTINGUISHED FLYING MEDAL'. Along the upper edge arc is the name of the war in English: 'WORLD WAR II'. Along the lower edge arc is the inscription: '$1' - one dollar.
