    On the left near the rim, the inscription 'FAHRENHEIT-SKALE' (Fahrenheit Scale) runs vertically top to bottom, along with the engraver's mark 'VH' for Victor Benjamin Huster. The central part features eight temperature scales in chronological order of their creation. Below each scale, near the bottom rim, is the year of its creation; above it is the graphical symbol of the scale: Newton - 1701 'N', Rømer – 1702 'Rø', Fahrenheit (depicted as a thermometer with numbers '32' – ice melting point and '0') 'F', Réaumur 1730 'Re', Delisle 1732 'D', Celsius 1742 'C', Kelvin 1842 'K', Rankine 1859 'Ra'. A straight line passes through the scales at the ice melting point mark, ending in a stylized depiction of a wave and a snowflake. Along the arc of the right edge, the inscription '300 JAHRE' (300 Years) runs vertically top to bottom.

    On the left near the rim, the country name 'BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND' (Federal Republic of Germany) is written vertically in three lines. In the center is a stylized depiction of the federal eagle. Below the state symbol is the number '10', to the right of which is the currency unit 'EURO' and the metal designation with its fineness 'SILBER 625' (Silver 625). On the right is a circle of twelve five-pointed stars. Above it, the year of issue '2014' is placed vertically; below it is the mint mark 'J' for the Hamburg Mint. All inscriptions are oriented vertically with their base to the right.
