    In the central part, within a circle, the numeral 5. Around it are the nine coats of arms of the Federal States of Austria: Vienna, Burgenland, Upper Austria, Vorarlberg, Carinthia, Styria, Lower Austria, Salzburg, Tyrol. The coats of arms are positioned with their base towards the center, forming a sun-like pattern. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in German: on the left, top, and right the country name 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' (Republic of Austria), at the bottom the inscription 'EURO' (Euro).

    Depicts the panoramic Austrian road named after the country's highest mountain, connecting the states of Salzburg and Carinthia. Cars from different eras speed towards each other along the serpentine road: on the left, an elegant classic car; on the right, a modern sports car. An eagle soars against the backdrop of a mountain peak. At the top, a four-line inscription reads 'GROSSGLOCKNER HOCHALPEN-STRASSE 1935-2010' (Grossglockner High Alpine Road 1935-2010). On the left near the rim is the artist Thomas Pesendorfer's mint mark - 'TP'.
