    In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, the text in English: "THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN". In the central part is a Lebanese cedar tree; to its left is the Gregorian calendar year of minting: "1981", to its right - the Hijri year: "١٤٠١" - "1401". Surrounding them is a circle of olive leaves and fruits. Along the arc of the lower edge is the inscription for a quarter dinar: on the right in English: "QUARTER DINAR", on the left in Arabic: "ربع دينار". Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.

    Along the rim are inscriptions in Arabic: on the right: "ملك المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية" - "KING OF THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN", on the left: "الحسين بن طلال" - "HUSSEIN IBN TALAL". In the central part is his right-facing profile. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.
