In the central part of the reverse, a relief image of the Old Federal District Building (town hall) in Mexico City. Above the building, the inscription: «$100» - 100 pesos; to the left above the town hall, the Mexico City Mint mark. Below the building, the year of issue 2006. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, text in Spanish: «DISTRITO FEDERAL» (Federal District). Along the lower edge, an inscription in Spanish: «ANTIGUO AYUNTAMIENTO» (Old Town Hall).
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of silver-colored metal, the coat of arms of Mexico. To the left, top, and right along the rim, the country name United Mexican States in Spanish: «ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS». To the left, bottom, and right along the rim, a wreath of oak and laurel leaves.
