    The central part features the monogram of Peter II: four intersecting Cyrillic letters 'P' (for Petr), arranged in a circle with their tops facing inward and each crowned with an imperial crown. Between the letters are four Roman numerals 'II'. Within the monogram, in the center, are the digits of the coin's year of issue: '17' on the left and '29' on the right (1729), separated by the crossing point of the monogram's letters. Around the entire circumference of the coin's edge is an inscription, separated by four imperial crowns: MONETA ♚ NOVAIA ♚ TSENA ♚ RUS' ♚ (COIN ♚ NEW ♚ VALUE ♚ ROUBLE ♚).
