To the left and right of it are 3 stars each, arranged vertically. In the upper part, along the curve of the coin's edge, is text in French, divided by the top ray of the star: '20 Ces.' - 20 centimes. Around the circumference are raised elements in the form of denticles.

    In the central part – a hole, surrounded by a circle of dots and a composition consisting of five monograms of Leopold II. From left to right along the edge is text in French: 'LEOP. II R. D. BELGES SOUV. DE L'ETAT INDEP. DU CONGO' - Leopold II King of the Belgians and Sovereign of the Independent State of the Congo, divided by a five-pointed star. Along the rim is a denticulated relief.
