    In the central part, within a wreath of leaves, a two-line French inscription: '50 CENTS'. Below is the year of issue: 1847. Near the bottom edge, the letter 'A' - the mint mark of the Paris Mint. The edge of the coin features a toothed (reeded) relief.

    In the central part, the right-facing profile of Louis Philippe I. In the truncation of the neck, the engraver's initial 'DOMAED.F.'. Along the upper edge from left to right runs a Latin inscription: 'LOUIS PHILIPPE I ROI DES FRANÇAIS' - Louis Philippe I King of the French. The coin's edge features relief elements in the form of dentils.
