    In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, the text in English: "THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN". In the central part is a Lebanese cedar, to the left of it the year of minting according to the Gregorian calendar: "1970", to the right - according to the Muslim calendar: "١٣٩٠" - "1390". Surrounding them is a circle of olive leaves and fruits. Along the arc of the lower edge is the inscription for a quarter dinar, on the right in English: "QUARTER DINAR", on the left in Arabic: "ربع دينار". Decorative raised denticles are placed along the edges of the rim.

    Along the rim are inscriptions in Arabic, on the right: "ملك المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية" - "KING OF THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN", on the left: "الحسين بن طلال" - "HUSSEIN IBN TALAL". In the central part is his right-facing profile. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the edges of the rim.
