In the central part, the numeral 2 and a two-line inscription: 'EURO CENT' - 2 Euro Cent. To the left and below, an image of the Earth globe with Europe highlighted, from which six slanting rays extend upwards and downwards. At the ends of these rays, twelve five-pointed stars are placed along the rim. To the right of the Earth, the monogram 'LL' - the mark of engraver Luc Luycx.
Obverse
In the central part, a mountain is depicted, below it the name of the state Slovakia in Slovak: 'SLOVENSKO'. Below that, the year of minting 2009. Under the year is the coat of arms of Slovakia, to the left of the coat of arms is the mintmark of the Kremnica Mint, to the right the letter 'Z' - the mark of engraver Drahomír Zobek. Along the edge of the coin are twelve five-pointed stars.
