In the central part - the number 2 and 1/2 against a latticed background: "٢ ١\٢", above it the years of issue according to the Gregorian calendar: "١٩٩٢" - "1992" and the Islamic calendar: "١٤١٢" - "1412". On the right - the inscription two and a half piastres in Arabic: "اثنان و نصف قرش" and English: "TWO AND HALF PIASTRES".

Along the rim are inscriptions in Arabic, on the right: "ملك المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية" - "KING OF THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN", on the left: "الحسين بن طلال" - "HUSSEIN IBN TALAL". In the central part - his left-facing profile.
