    In the central part of the reverse is a raised design of a six-pointed Star of David, within which is the central hole. Along the upper edge of the coin, from left to right, is the name of the colony in English: BRITISH WEST AFRICA. Below is the year of issue, 1907. The coin's rim features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
  • Obverse
    The central hole is present. Circling it is the inscription 'ONE PENNY' in English (left, top, and right) and 'وَاحِد بَنِّي' (one penny) in Arabic (below). In the upper part, along the edge, is a depiction of the British Imperial Crown, flanked left and right by the English inscription: 'EDWARD VII KING & EMPEROR'. The coin's rim is decorated with raised denticles.
