    In the central part on the right are large numerals '10', below them a two-line inscription in English 'EURO / CENT'. To the right of the ten is the engraver's mark of Luc Luycx 'LL'. In the central part on the left are the outlines of the eurozone countries. From them, six vertical parallel lines extend upwards and downwards, ending with 12 stars.

    Along the rim are 12 five-pointed stars symbolizing the eurozone countries. At the bottom, the name of the issuing country in Italian 'CITTA' DEL VATICANO' – 'Vatican City'. On the right, the year of mintage 2013 and the letter 'R' – the mintmark of the Rome Mint. In the central part is a portrait of Pope Benedict XVI facing forward and inscriptions in Italian: 'M.C.C. INC' – the personal mark of engraver Maria Carmela Colaneri and the signature of the artist Daniela Longo 'D.L.'.
