Along the arc of the lower edge is the country's name in Dutch: 'BELGISCH CONGO' - Belgian Congo. The coin's edge is decorated with decorative denticles.

    In the central part of the coin is the left-facing profile of King of the Belgians Albert I. In the truncation of the neck is the artist's name: 'Jul Lagae' - Jules Lagae. Starting on the left side, the text runs along the coin's edge: 'ALBERT KONING', on the right - 'DER BELGEN', which translates from Dutch as: 'Albert King of the Belgians'. The coin's rim features a denticulated (beaded) relief pattern.
