    The central part features the monogram of Peter II: four intersecting Cyrillic letters 'P' (for Petr), arranged in a circle with their tops facing inward and each crowned with an imperial crown. Between the letters are four Roman numerals 'II'. Within the monogram, in the center, are the digits of the coin's issue year: '17' on the left and '29' on the right (1729), separated by the crossing point of the monogram's letters. Along the edge of the coin is a circular inscription: MONETA•NOVAYA•TSENA•RUBL• (New Coin Price Ruble) divided into four parts by crowns.
