The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). A chain bearing the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called encircles the shield. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Around the eagle, along the rim, is a circular, outward-facing inscription: МОНЕТА РУБЛЬ 1806• The edge is decorated with denticles.
  • Obverse
In the central part is a right-facing profile bust of Emperor Alexander I in the uniform of the Life-Guards Preobrazhensky Regiment. Below the portrait is the signature of the medalist 'LEBERECHT F.' — Carl (Karl Alexandrovich Leberecht) Leberecht F.(Fecit — engraved). Around the portrait is the inscription: Б. М. АЛЕКСАНДРЪ I. ИМПЕРАТОРЪ И САМОДЕР. ВСЕРОС. The edge is decorated with denticles.
