In the central part, an inscription in four lines: 1 1/2РУБЛЯ.10ZLOT• Below the inscription is the year of mintage — 1835. In the left part of the coin along the edge is a laurel branch, and in the right an oak branch. At the base, the branches are intertwined with a ribbon forming a bow. Raised dots are stamped around the entire edge of the coin.
Obverse
In the central part is depicted the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield with St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. On the wings are depicted the titular coats of arms: on the right — Kazan, Astrakhan, and Siberian; on the left — Polish, Taurican, and Finnish. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left — an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'Н', under the left — the letter 'Г'. The initials of Mintmaster Nikolai Grachev. The central part is separated from the rest of the design by a circle of dots. Outside the circle is the text: ЧИСТАГО СЕРЕБРА 6 ЗОЛОТНИКОВЪ 31 1/2 ДОЛЕЙ (Pure Silver 6 Zolotniks 31 1/2 Dolya) divided at the top by an eight-petaled flower. The rim consists of dots.
