Reverse
In the upper part of the reverse center, the inscription follows along an arc: FROM KOLYMV. PLACERS. Below, on two lines, the denomination (five-petal rosettes left and right) and the monetary unit are indicated: ✿ 5 ✿ RUBLES. Below is a decorative divider in the form of two oppositely directed ornamental lines with a floral rosette between them. Under the divider is the year of mintage "1832". Below that is the mint mark "S.P.B.". The central part is separated from the rest of the design by a circle of dots. Outside the circle is the circular text: PURE GOLD 1 ZOLOTNIK 39 PARTS, divided at the top by a floral rosette. The rim is decorated with dots.
Obverse
The central part features the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two imperial crowns, with a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a dragon with a long spear. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. On the wings are the titular coats of arms: on the right — Kazan, Astrakhan, and Siberian; on the left — Polish, Taurican, and Finnish. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left — an orb. Under the right talon is the letter "P", under the left — the letter "D". The initials of mintmaster Pavel Danilov. The rim is decorated with dots.
