The inscriptions are separated by raised dots. In the center, a two-line inscription '1/2 / CENT', translated as 'half cent', with the year of minting '1958' below.

Around the rim are decorative raised dots. Along the rim in the right, bottom, and left sections is the monarch's name: QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND, translated from English as 'Queen Elizabeth the Second'. In the center is the right-facing profile of the Queen of Great Britain.
