    In the central part, a left-facing portrait of the outstanding military commander, Generalissimo of the Holy Roman Empire, Prince Eugene of Savoy. To the right, the years of his life '1663-1736'; to the left, flags under which are cannons and cannonballs. Along the arc of the left and upper edge of the coin, the name and title of the person in German: 'PRINZ EUGEN v. SAVOYEN' (Prince Eugene of Savoy). To the right near the rim on the prince's uniform is the designer's mark of Thomas Pesendorfer: 'TP'.
  • Obverse
    Depicts the ceremonial Baroque staircase of the Austrian Ministry of Finance. Antique statues support the vault of the staircase. At the feet of one statue is the designer's mark of Andreas Zanaschka: the letter 'Z'. In the niche of the flight is a statue of Hercules. Below the niche is the year of issue '2002'. Along the rim are inscriptions in German: on the left, the country name 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' (Republic of Austria); at the bottom, '20 EURO' (20 Euro).
