To the left and right of it are the mintmarks of the Royal Dutch Mint in Utrecht: a rooster (the sign of designer Gert Brinkgreve) and a caduceus (Mercury's staff). Around the edge of the coin is the country name in Dutch and the year of issue: 'NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN 1974'.
